There are an estimated 3,300 people with Dementia in Walsall of which approximately 62% (over 2,000 people) are diagnosed.
A Walsall based dementia strategy is being developed which will set out how dementia services will be commissioned, delivered and managed for people in Walsall.
To inform this strategy we will:
- Build on our understanding of Dementia in the population through engaging with citizens and addressing the gaps in service provision
- Engage with and support local community associations and voluntary organisations in raising awareness of Dementia
- Re-design some of our pre and post Dementia pathways
