Walsall Together is a place-based partnership of health, local authority, housing, voluntary and community organisations working together improve physical and mental health outcomes, promote wellbeing and reduce inequalities for Walsall citizens through integration.

Our vision is ‘collaborating for happier communities’.

Our aim is to work collaboratively to:

  • Improve health and wellbeing outcomes: We will help people to manage their own health and wellbeing needs, prevent ill health and reduce inequalities in health and wellbeing outcomes
  • Provide high-quality, accessible, coordinated and responsive care: We will integrate services in line with our model of health, care and wellbeing, ensuring all services are supported through care navigation and shared digital records
  • Support a motivated and happy workforce: We will invest in the development and skills of our workforce so they can provide the best possible care
  • Make collective use of resources: We will use our resources from across the partnership in the best possible way and ensure the best use of every pound spent

Our golden threads set out ‘how we do things around here’ and are fundamental to the work we do. These include:

  • Strengths-based approaches: empowering citizens by focusing on their abilities and resources.
  • Personalisation: ensuring care is shaped to the individual’s unique needs and preferences.
  • Wellbeing: taking a holistic approach to physical, mental and social health outcomes focusing on prevention not treatment
  • Coproduction: ensuring citizens are involved and at the heart of decision making
  • Social justice: ensuring fair and equitable access to healthcare, reducing disparities and addressing the root causes of health inequities.

In doing this we hope to understand our local population better, so we can support our citizens and the communities they live in, to manage their own health and well-being needs, prevent ill health and live happier lives.

Our Partners:

We are part of a wider system of health and social care called The Black Country Integrated Care System (ICS) and one of four place-based partnerships within the ICS responsible for designing and delivering health and social care services that meet the needs of its local population.
