Walsall Together will be the topic of conversation at Healthwatch Walsall’s 1st Friday Focus, this Friday 2 July, between 10 and 11.30am.

The virtual event, which is open for anyone to join, will see guest speakers from the partnership give an overview of who Walsall Together is and their plans for working with the people and communities of Walsall to transform the way health, social and well-being services are delivered locally.

Daren Fradgley, Director of Integration for Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, said: “The health, social and well-being needs of people are changing. This means that the way services are delivered need to change too and locally we are working more closely together with health, social, housing and voluntary services to do just that. We’re really looking forward to talking to people about our approach, which focuses on not just health but other factors such as housing, education and employment too. We’re also hoping to learn more from those who attend about what matter most to them and what makes them happy.”

Aileen Farrer, Manager Healthwatch Walsall, said “We really enjoy running our 1st Friday Focus events which aim to give the people of Walsall a chance to learn more about a different topic each month. Walsall Together is such an important programme of work and it’s great that we are able to give people the chance to find out more about it, how it will benefit them and also the opportunity to ask questions of the very people who are leading on it.”
