A team of people from across the Walsall Together Partnership have been nominated for a national award and they need your vote to win.
The team, made up of public, voluntary and community organisations, have been nominated in the Community Inspiration Awards, organised by Community Foundation, for their dedication and commitment to improving the health and wellbeing for the people of Walsall.
Meeting on a weekly basis for over nine months, they put their passion and drive for prevention into co-producing, along with citizens, a wellbeing outcomes framework for Walsall. They have researched, engaged, challenged and got creative and even been given homework, with the end result being a wellbeing outcomes framework, with an evidence-based local definition of wellbeing that will allow us to measure improvements in the wellbeing of our citizens, and underpin commissioning of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector.
Michelle McManus, Director of Transformation and Place Development for Walsall Together, said: “I am so incredibly proud the team have been nominated for this award and your vote will mean so much to them. The sheer amount of hard work and dedication they have shown, alongside their own day to day roles and responsibilities, has been outstanding. It really has been a labour of love and we are really excited to see the difference this framework will make to how we commission our services and to the wellbeing of all of our citizens and in particular those who need that extra support to help improve their quality of life and build resilience.”
